Denise Gonzalez brings a unique blend of dedication, insight, and a client-focused approach to her role as a paralegal at LeBlanc Firm, with over five years of experience in the legal field.
Her journey into law began, however, long before her professional career. Her passion for the complexities of the legal system—ranging from criminal justice to transactional work—was sparked by her time at the High School for Law and Justice. While there, that spark became a flame as Denise worked in the legal department of a prestigious oil company, took law inspired courses, and served as one of the first “Teen Attorney’s” for the City of Houston Municipal Courts Department’s Teen Court.
Denise later pursued a Social Work degree with a focus on Pre-Law from the University of Texas at Austin. As a first-generation college student, she dedicated her undergraduate years to mentoring peers from similar backgrounds, and even studied The Roots of Social and Economic Justice abroad in London, U.K. After returning to Austin to complete her schooling, she interned as a Youth and Family Advocate at a local nonprofit organization committed to dismantling the school-to-prison pipeline through prevention, intervention, advocacy, and training initiatives. These experiences cultivated a strong foundation in advocacy, compassion, and intellectual curiosity—qualities that continue to guide her work in the legal field.
Denise has invaluable experience with the intricacies of legal procedures and the regulatory landscape. She is known for her thorough research, strong organizational skills, and unwavering commitment to helping clients navigate complex legal matters. In a prior role at a law firm specializing in construction defect cases, Denise was honored with the “Star Performer Paralegal Award” for her exceptional work ethic, attention to detail, and commitment to delivering outstanding legal support—an approach she continues to bring to her current role. She aspires to further her legal career by becoming an attorney and is currently exploring law school opportunities.
Outside of the office, she’s an avid reader, regularly trains at a women’s boxing gym, and challenges herself with a daily dose of the New York Times Wordle.
